Jackson today, MIA tomorrow

the miami herald has finally decided to cover the strike as news! a story on the front page of the business section explains how the UNICCO workers on the medical campus are going on strike today and those at MIA airport tomorrow. in addition, a donor is withholding the last $300,000 of his $500,000 UM donation until UM does right by its contract workers.

those who feel reluctant to cross the picket line, be advised that the airport might be a strike site during spring break.

I also heard about the man who is withholding the last part of his $500,000 on WLRN, the local news segment in "all things considered" this afternoon. Money talks, on the news anyways.
